Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) is regressing to his wicked self in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. Luckily for Stefan (Paul Wesley), Tyler Lockwood (Michael Trevino) will be returning to Mystic falls, but would he possibly help him bring his brother back?
Damon is back to the monster he was after being compelled by the evil that lurked in the vault during "The Vampire Diaries" Season 7. Now he is a bloodthirsty vampire out to kill as many innocent people he can find. Stefan, on the other hand, needs all the help he can get. And while Tyler does seem like a jerk most of the time, he always comes to the rescue of his friends when they need him the most - including Damon.
Tyler will be appearing in the third episode of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. Entertainment Weekly reported that he will actually be Damon's savior. He will try to talk him out of his possessed state and remind him about the things that were more important, like say, the love of his life Elena.
Nina Dobrev is also speculated to make a return to "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. As previously reported, she will be returning to the show as, according to Hypable, her evil doppelganger Katherine Pierce.
Meanwhile, actress Kristen Gutoskie will be making her debut appearance in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 as Seline, Alaric (Matthew Davis) and Caroline's (Candice King) new nanny. But aside from taking care of the twins, could she have a special role to play?
"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 will be returning to CW on Oct 21.
